Ok! Lets connect, share, and create on something that’s been burning up inside of me for the last few days! I’ve come back from a heaven on earth called Plum Village. A divine Zen Buddhist Monastery located 40 minutes outside of Bordeaux, France. This place was created by Vietnamese Zen Buddhist monk, teacher, author, poet and peace activist - Thích Nhất Hạnh.
I went there with a mission to align myself through nourishing my mind, body, and soul with time, space, and mindfulness so that I could directly align my mission with Standing Light.
It’s been a bit of a whirlwind launching Standing Light in such a short amount of time, and I knew that before I went any further, I needed to take a step back, take a deep look, even put a short pause on certain things, so that moving forward, the source of Standing Light remains deeply grounded and can stand strong for a very long time.
Just as I believe we must nourish our inner light on a daily basis, by being patient, kind and loving with ourselves, we must also extend this concept to what we create.
It is so easy to get caught up with illusions created by fear and ego. How many followers do I have on social media? How long will it take for this to pay itself back and financially sustain? How can I explain this and not sound ‘crazy’? The list goes on and on, but such wonders and thoughts will never nourish us and always hold us back. Such ego based worries only cloud us from the truth. Just as fast as a positive ripple effect can flow, so can a negative ripple effect flood.
Forget what goes on outside, it is what is happening inside of you that matters first and foremost. For if we do not tend to our inner garden, nothing will ever grow evergreen.
Listening to my intuition and taking time out to tend to my inner light, has brought deep and powerful insight I cannot wait to reveal and share with you as we build a powerful foundation to connect, share, and create within the intention of light through Standing Light.
Please feel free to comment, and connect with me via email and/or social media if you have any questions. I invite curious minds with open arms!
With very bright light filled regards, Leyla
