How To Get Back On Track
What To Do When You’ve Gone Off Track
Have you ever felt like suddenly things have gotten out of control? You’ve skipped too many morning workouts or evening runs or maybe it’s your diet and you’ve suddenly lost control of what you eat. Or you are up to your ears in stress and you just can’t seem to find solid ground? These can all have an impact on our internal health and our inner light. Don’t beat yourself up. It happens to everyone at some point or another and with a little help we can get back on track.
If you find yourself hitting “Snooze” more often and skipping the gym-you are not alone! In winter months, people tend to hibernate and sometimes it is necessary to hold off on workouts for recovery. But don’t let that be your crutch! A quick and simple way is to just start moving. Go for a walk, find a 15-minute video, or enlist someone to hold you accountable. There are many ways to get your routine back but first it starts with you.
We all like to indulge on food from time to time, it is part of what makes being alive so wonderful. Finding and maintaining a balance is key to a healthy lifestyle diet. Anything can throw us off that balance, and lead our normal eating habits astray. Before you invest in a new size of your favorite jeans or put fitspo images all over the fridge tell yourself that it’s ok. Acknowledge that you went off track but allow yourself to get back on the path that you want to be on. Do not starve yourself or begin binge eating, find a plan that will help you eat clean. Don’t jump right in on a cleanse, research what would work best for your lifestyle and body.
Along with exercise and eating habit changes comes stress. A big menace on our body and mind, and something we need to learn to let go of. There are several ways to reduce stress levels and keep our bodies safe. Over time these methods can teach us how to manage stress and let go.
“Accept what is, let go of what was, and have faith in what will be.“ ~Buddha
When we let go of the negativity behind life’s little slipups we can open ourselves up to accepting change and recharge our light.
